MORE GOOD
LESS BAD

Nature's been a work in progress for billions of years. We're following in its footsteps.

We’re challenging the toxic traditions of the footwear industry by taking big risks and evolving a little, every day. We want to leave the planet better than we found it.

A NASTY FOOTPRINT

Old thinking. Broken systems. Same excuses.

Footwear is the dirtiest item in your wardrobe. Each pair is a complex assembly of plastics, foams, rubbers and adhesives, often more than forty components deep. It’s carbon intensive to make, and once discarded, it becomes one of the most toxic and persistent items in landfill. We can do better, and it’s time to rebuild the model from the ground up. It’s time to rethink how footwear is made.

That’s from one pair of leather shoes, along with 60–80 kg CO₂ and around 8,000 litres of water used.

Tuned In

Make Good is where expertise in next gen material innovation, engineering, foot health, and design comes together to challenge an industry. We lead with radical optimism and play. We mess up. We find new ways forward and keep what we do crystal clear. We have fun every step of the way.

“The next generation of footwear will be judged on what happens after its final day of wear. Our job is to make sure that moment has the smallest footprint possible.”
